Ds11 does karate year round and ds9 is doing indoor soccer. We aren't particularly sports-minded, but want them to at least get some exercise. Ds11 did a math competition this weekend; that's probably more his style, lol!
My kids dont do any organized sports at all, but they usually ski in the winter. Sadly, we have not had the snow for them to ski at all so far this year.
My kids have done everything over the years, karate, tae kwon do, Filapino Fighting Sticks, swim, rock climbing, volleyball and more. Now, ds has hockey and indoor lax. Dd hockey fell through, so she has horseback riding (yes outside in the cold) and indoor lax. They also play hockey outdoor, the rink does make it's own ice though. They go skiing, ice skating, sledding and snowshoeing when possible, but it has been too warm this winter.
Competition season starts for dance next month and runs through May. Track season starts for DS in March, but they are conditioning right now. DS is also involved in trap shooting and competitive season starts in March with practice most of the year as time permits.
