I'm headed to the airport to pick up my cousin to take him to see my aunt (his mom). Her light is fading rapidly and her physical condition is grim. My uncle called yesterday to let me know what I was walking into. He also said he wasn't sure what would happen when my aunt and my cousin saw each other. Long story but basically he lives in Atlanta, has huge financial problems, and hasn't been very good about communicating with his family throughout my aunt's illness. My uncle said I was going to have to be the "stable" one. Great! He also said that if I felt like saying something about God and Jesus that seems to be comforting to her these days. Then he added that I seem to be in a position to do that. NO PRESSURE!!! While faith is a part of my life and I am very involved in my church, I'm not very good at outward displays of religion. I keep it pretty personal.
I guess my primary focus has to be my aunt and what's going to be most comforting to her, my uncle, and my cousin.

Wow, I'm so sorry. That's really tough. I know what you mean about outward displays of religion, despite being religious yourself. I'm the same way.
I will say prayers for you and your family! God's strength and peace be with you.
