Whether or not you try to live a very gree and environmentally lifestyle or not, as you look back would you say your family is getting a bit more green year by year?

I definitely see us as greener over the long haul - I can't remember when we started doing different things but know when Amy started school we were doing nothing. We use less energy, no longer use styrofoam, recycle as much as we can, reuse whenever we are able, have moved to more fuel efficient vehicles, don't do throw away shopping bags, use efficient lightbulbs and I am sure I am missing things I just take for granted. I am so encouraged to see everyone is answering they are greener!

I think we're getting greener:

1) We don't eat meat (I became vegetarian 25 years ago for environmental reasons, kids and dh are too)

2) We recycle- our city picks up most everything. We take old meds to a hazardous waste site (also our old

I'd say so. We went solar this year which isn't a little thing but something we've been saving for and happy to have finally done. We recycle. We've gotten better about not wasting resources like shorter showers, more efficient appliances, replacing water hungry plants with less needy ones, ect. It's a long process but little bits at a time are paying off both enviromentally but also financially.

I like to think we are getting greener; year by year!

Last year, we switched garbage companies and I asked them for a larger recycling
