Zachary and the "homemade" Shampoo.....m

Zachary and his brother Timothy were outside having supersoaker battles yesterday in the front yard. They were in their swimsuits and chasing each other around the house. Then Zachary got his brain child idea he took the bubble mix he was using in his bubble sword and put in the bucket they were refilling the supersoakers with and made homemade shampoo. He told Timothy if they "washed" their hair with it they wouldn`t have to take a shower later. SO they both washed their hair with the bubble mix "shampoo". Only thing is Timothy is very sensitive to stuff like this ( he is allergic to bubble bath, can only use one kind of soap and shampoo) So he started itching all over. I told them they would have to come in and take a shower. Zachary and Timothy then said "another" shower we have soap we have water why do we need another shower. I had to laugh at that but Timothy`s head was itching so I made them take a shower and put on some more clothes. Timothy is not broke out but they won`t be mixing up anymore "potions". I was just wondering if any of your ds or dd have done anything like this? If they have I would love to hear about it!

No, Sean hasn't made any potions (at least none that I've caught) but he did perform "surgery" over the weekend by giving a stinger to a dead bee *shaking head in wonderment*. I didn't ask for details, I'm pretty cowardly when it comes to this type of stuff and really didn't want to know. LOL

Sorry about the itching, sounds like it wasn't too bad though. Glad that potion making has been terminated (for the moment anyway). The worst I can remember doing at that age was mixing some hand lotion with soap to eliminate a step. LOL

Best Always,

Sherrie

Great story! What terrific kid logic, except for forgetting about T's sensitivities ;-)

My boys Cameron,11 & Connor,3 do this to MY shampoo. Cameron started it and gave his brother the "great" idea. I get frusterated when I go to use my shampoo and it's funky green colors. Maybe I should start looking for chemist kits for Christmas. LOL

Charlie has little "experiments" all over the house. He finds little containers like film canisters, small plastic bottles, etc. and mixes soap, toothpaste, water, and other bathtime stuff and then stashes them in different parts of the house. When I come across one I get the story: what he's trying to make, or what he's trying to accomplish and why I need to leave it alone, because it's not 'done' yet. I drew the line on putting stuff in his dresser drawers though. I've found these little "experiments" in the pantry, the medicine cabinet in his bathroom, on his night stand, and yes even in the fridge. Oh parenting is so rewarding! I cherish this, they grow up so soon.
