Do you think purely elective abortion should be covered under universal health care?

Depends- will they cover elective prenatal care and delivery? Will they cover contraceptives, sterilizations and c sections?

Just as a woman choosing to get an elective boob job or butt tuck or hair removal via electralasis - an elective, non medically needed abortion should not be covered.

Yes. In this country, UHC covers abortion, maternity, c-sections, sterilisations, birth control etc. Why should one particular option be left out?

That is as it should be. If a government will cover elective pregnancy and childbirth, so too should it cover elective abortion.

On second thought, I'd rather that our system cover the forms of BC that it doesn't (ie. medications, condoms) as well as what they do cover.
