Abortion instead of contraception

This article is about abortion statistics in the UK.

Parts of it are scary.

In particular

The statistics, for 2006, showed nearly 15,000 women were having their third or more abortion, while 54 of those had terminated eight or more pregnancies.

But Mr Pritchard, the MP for The Wrekin in Shropshire, said abortion was being seen as an alternative to contraception "in far too many cases".

"You may see these four children as 'mistakes or blights' on the world (not jsut mine but all adopted children or orphans or children born to addicts and the poor),"

Come now. You know she's not saying that. If you want me to stop bringing up the term "straw man," you really ought to stop using it as an argument.

"Kind of like the 'whipping boys' of the slave days - in which it was thought that the slaveowner's child was paying the price for bad behavior by having their favorite slave friend beaten in front of them, IMHO."

Again with the all-encompassing statements.

"i dont think the others understood my views"

That tends to happen when you post in all capitals. However, I think most of us understood your views perfectly well; it's just that not everyone agrees with you.

"how about the next women on here who doesnt want their child...call me..i'll raise it and give it the life u cant nor feel able to..."

This really isn't a board where people come to talk about wanting to have an abortion. People who are deliberating such a decisions usually do not want to debate about it. Actually, I don't think there are even many women here who have had an abortion for "no real necessary reason."

nice to know you designate women to the walking womb status..

Most of us on here understand completely what occurs on both sides of the issue.

I think the key word in your post is "choice".
