<<"He's claiming to be a devout Christian, but how can he be when he is all for killing babies?" asked Jim Brown, 58, of Loysville, Pa.,...>>

I highly doubt that Obama is "all for killing babies".

>Also, I claim to be a devout Catholic, and I am also pro-choice. Is this Jim Brown trying to say I can't be both???<

While Mr. Brown cannot speak for your faith, I gather your priest, bishop, and Pope would all agree that you really CAN'T be a devout Catholic and be pro-choice. In fact, there are many priests who would deny you sacraments unless you renounced your pro-choice stance.

I am confused on the title of this thread? Obama stated that abortion is obscene/vulgar?

I tend to keep Catholics in a separate category from Christians. At least, maybe pro-choice ones...in my book (the Bible), murder is a sin. While ALL sin separates us from God, murder is my personal least fave.

Uh, why?

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.

Um, Catholics believe that Jesus is the son of God and died for their sins.
