The discussions in the media re: emergency contraception,

... and also this exchange:

>>As for any stance about birth control, I find that ridiculously counterproductive. Effective means of birth control, the most effective of which are hormonal, are essential in reducing the need for abortion.<<

The birth control you speak of technically is abortion, and I find that LITERALLY ridiculously counterproductive.

I think symptoms vary by individual biology, etc..

I remember reading that it is usually effective in suppressing ovulation but that was so long ago that it probably no longer counts as reputable data.

Since it works in 3 ways though the first 2 would both have to fail on the same cycle before implantation would be prevented so you would still be looking at a small percentage of embryos that don't implant. Probably smaller than what my body discards in the course of a year as I am not on any birth control .

That is probably true, but so far I've found no scientific data that can back that up or gives any estimation to how often it would or would not occur.

LOL that is just my logic. It may be true it may be idiot logic. It is of no personal significance to me thank god as I am not able to take hormonal birth control and was actually celibate while on all forms except depo which I got pregnant on lol.

also is stopping an egg from implanting technically abortion? I thought abortion dislodged an implanted embryo. Does anyone know?

It depends on who you ask. I don't but I believe that some people, such as little_s, have said they do.

I was PL once too. Took my husband (boyfriend at the time) about five minutes to convince of the problems in my arguments. I can't believe he used to be able to beat me in argumentation.
