I'm bringing this out because the other thread is really deep now. I went ahead and did some digging. I've found several things.

First, this is a NYT clipping from a PL site. http://www.nrlc.org/abortion/pba/PBA%20NYT%20lied.pdf The truth is hidden from BOTH sides. In order for the PC side to fight the PBA laws, they covered up details.

Then I found this. http://www.drtiller.com/ There are two links for LTAs. On their site they say they inject the baby on day one of the 4 day procedure, they also say they do elective abortions up to viability which they determine in a subjective manner. This would mean a late abortion on a healthy mother and healthy infant. This is in Kansas. (and I question the statement that they kill the child by injection, how do they prevent the mother from being harmed? see next link)

Next there is this. http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~issues/Spring00/Deidre.html This is by a med student and is fairly objective. She brings up the issue that there is a differing opinion on the anesthisia given to the fetus, but not in depth.

I am still looking for medical information, but there is a lot out there that I have to screen through.

Here is another link. Again, they state that the fetus is killed prior to complete delivery. http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/ency/abortion_partial_birth.html

I'm questioning your information because the majority of what I am finding states that the fetus is still alive at delivery (approx, two thirds of LTAs are with a live child according to certain doctors). If that were not the case, then there would be no need to deliver the child in a breech position and then puncture the skull. A simple doppler device could determine that the fetal heart had stopped and it would be an induced delivery of a still born. That is something totally different.

mostly I beleive my Dr when she told me that they are given a lethal injection and that the reason they are delivered breach the way they are is so that theparents have something to hold and mourn. Maybe where I live it is a common practice on those rare LTAs? and isn't in other areas? I wonder about that.
