I wont post the pics here, feel free to see the above link which contains drawings of a partial-birth abortion at 24 weeks gestation.

Even if the child had abnormalities that would cause it to die upon birth, I would carry that baby to term.

And if that baby was threatening my life, knowing how this procedure is done, I would never go through it.>

My mother gave birth to a dead baby. I STRONGLY suggest that you do not make claims about what you will do in such a heartbreaking situation until you have been there and done it.

As a mother yourself, you must surely realise that such a decision is likely the most painful and heartbreaking one the mother will ever have to make.

Now I am a little confused. Hopefully someone on here can back me up.

I thought that the reason for a partial birth abortion was so that the body could be born and the mother could hold the baby and mourn it. So a body could be buried.

For women with babies that had to abort for their life or because of the abnormality (very large water filled head, forget the name) this was actually one of the kindest ways for the mother to grieve.

However, because of the ban, now mothers in that situation have to have the baby ripped to shreds, cannot hold the baby.

The partial birth abortion ban didn't ban abortions at late gestation, just the type of abortion that could take place. They took away the ability to birth the baby whole, and now women in that situation HAVE to have the babies limbs torn off.

So what you are describing is actually what has happened because of the partial birth abortion ban.

And if the woman chooses to NOT accept the short and long term risks associated with a c section? Her body, her health, her life- her choice.

Maybe you would be able to see why a human being would freeze embryos if you desperately wanted to carry a child of your own and could not by any other means...

That said I know you are going to say that I cannot justify my pro-life stance unless I was in the situation.

"Maybe you would be able to see why a human being would freeze embryos if you desperately wanted to carry a child of your own and could not by any other means.."

Maybe you would be able to see why a human being would terminate a z/e/f if you were in an extremely desperate and unfortunate situation.

It goes both ways.
