Just to clarify, the original post in this thread is nonsense. Thousands of Irish women travel here (to Britain) every year to obtain abortions, and there is no publicly-available data on how many do this, since they visit private doctors and do not use the NHS. Also, it would be the height of simplicity for a woman to quote a British address rather than an Irish one.


Those who cannot afford to come here often try 'back alley' abortions.
