i totally agree with parental notification. minors parents should know what is going on with their children, not neccessariyl be able to decide for the girl....but def know about it.

I am pro-choice, but I am also pro-parental notification. I live in NH and heard many discussions on the issue from both camps. I understand the concerns of those who feel that the judicial bypass option is not sufficient to help girls who are not safe in disclosing a pregnancy to their families. Particularly in rural states like ours, it is very difficult for these girls to travel to and from court, maybe several times, to present their case. But is it really a better idea to allow them to get an abortion quietly and return them to their abusive situation? What we need is better funding for child services that can give the girls judicial support while getting them out of abusive homes. Meanwhile, I find it ludicrous that my kid can't get so much as an aspirin without my signature, but an invasive procedure without my knowledge is okay. Abortion is not a right, it is a medical procedure and should be treated as such.

I competely agree with parental notification. Makes total sense to me. Maybe I should move to N.H. ;-)
