Question for all you pro-life people here: What gives you the right to decide what happens to another women's body?

I am PC but I think most PL people will tell you they have the right to tell another women what they can do with their body because they think abortion is murder and murder is wrong. I also think that it is because they believe the fetus has just as many rights as a born women does.

I am PC because I do not know everyone and their lives. I am not like yeah go have 50 abortions, abortions yay like many Pl seem to think. I am PC because I believe that the individual in question knows what is best for her life.

I know that I would have an abortion because DH and I don't want children, I would not be able to attend school and not miss classes if I become pregnant and sick and I know that I do not have the patience to raise a child. I hope I never am in that situation which is why I use BC.

I know that others do not agree with my reasons and that is fine with me, they don't have to but I ask that they do not try and take my rights away as I do not try and taker theirs away for things they wish to do in their life.

I always found it funny how many pro lifers feel that abortion is murder and that is just plain wrong, but capital punishment is ok. Yeah, I realize..murderer vs. fetus. However, to me, unless it is in self defense, taking a life is taking a life and there should be very little distinction made. I realize not all pro lifers feel that way but it seems that there is a fair share of hypocrisy there.

The child did not "decide" to take up residence in your uterus.

Yes, I would. At 43, with health issues that preclude a safe pregnancy, and having no desire to have another child, I have no qualms about choosing abortion if my BC should fail.
