Question for Pro-Lifers

I'd like to know how pro-lifers feel about vaccinations. Which of you vaccinate? Which of you don't? Why or why not?

I'm asking here instead of the Vaccine Debate Board because of the number of people here I'm certain are pro-life and I'm looking for some answers and correlations.

Thanks

I'm not PL, but wanted to welcome you the board :) and also to offer a recent thread on the same topic:

I'm confused by this. I'm Canadian, and it is my understanding that we use chicken embryos for vaccinations. In the US, do you use aborted fetuses or tissue?

I think she's referencing the fact that some vaccines (ex. for chicken pox, polio, rubella, mumps, etc.) were grown on two cell lines initially created from embryonic lung tissue.

Here's a website that lists the vaccines with aborted fetal tissue in them:

http://www.cogforlife.org/
under the vaccine sources tab

This site actually says Canada as well as US.

Another site says:
"The following vaccines are grown on aborted fetal tissue - rabies, some mumps, rubella, chickenpox, hepatitis a, smallpox (some), ipv. One of the single measles vaccines is further attenuated in diploid cells

This can be seen in the package inserts - referred to as diploid cells"

I'm antivax but not for these reasons and also I'm prochoice. I'm just wondering how many prolifers are using vaccines unknowingly or knowingly.

Thanks for the link to the other thread. Honestly I'm just not seeing the prolife answers I'm seeking. It seems that this board is lately much more pc than pl. I used to post here a couple of years ago and there was a pretty even amount of pl's and pc's. Maybe this is one of those questions that pl's just don't want to answer? hmmm...

This is very interesting on the back of another thread and how God knew all people and has predetermined their purpose in life. I wonder if it was God's purpose for those fetuses to go on and save the lives of millions of other children?

Thanks for the clarification, everyone. I'm PC and pro vax, I know this doesn't help you. I think that many PL's probably don't even know this!

I love the christian backpedaling of "it's God's will". It makes everything work to their advantage somehow.
