Some you may know, but others may be unaware that the first charges of made against abusive parents were made under the guise of 'animal cruelty'.

I would argue that threatening a girl into having an abortion is abuse and horribly wrong. I am for choice, not coercion.

It doesn't make sense to me, since neither you nor I used the word "option," as you put in single quotes.

Is it really so hard for you to listen to and understand the points that are made to you over and over again?

I am against mandatory parental notification. It would be grossly inaccurate to construe that, as you have, to mean that I don't think children need parental involvement in medical choices. As with everything, I am saying that I do not know every individual child's situation and I cannot dictate who they should tell about their pregnancy. They must decide for themselves. And if they don't feel safe telling their parent, I'm sorry but that is their parent's fault and not mine.

Your belief is wrong and offensive. Why must you categorise my opposing view as abusive? Like you, I support the things I honestly feel are for the best. And IMO mandatory

Thanks, Mizzou, for your support and for understanding my exact point.

"you cannot morally impose your view on a girl that you do not know and will never meet."

That is exactly what I am saying.

I wish you well in finding the best way forward for your daughter. You're lucky to have such a bright child and I can see you've worked hard at having a great relationship with her :o)

Me: "you cannot morally impose your view on a girl that you do not know and will never meet."

You: This is a simple truth and how it is so easily ignored, I will never understand.

Yep. The other thing I don't understand is how the PL position is considered the more moral one. IMO it is EXTREMELY immoral, not to mention presumptuous,
