Forced sterlization is as bad to me as forced gestation, or forced abortion.

Taking advantage of it???? Hmmm, I am a bit blown away by the caps and the insinuation here.

In winter of 2003 my husband and I recieved a phone call from a family friend who knew of a girl who was addicted to drugs and in an abusive relationship who had recently lost her children to the state.

"BTW: Are you for federal money paying for abortion? If so, why would you have a problem with paying for a tubal if it prevented abortion and helped a woman remain child free and even off of the system in the long run."

This isn't directed at me, but I'll take a crack at it.

Yes, I am for federal money paying for abortion, in a framework that exists for health care (medicaid, for example, since SCHIP and Medicare don't have much use for abortion). I still have a problem with forced sterilization, but I've already gone into that. Forced sterilization for a behavior (as you recommend should be law) is just as bad, IMO, as forced sterilization based on race, religion, or class.

And they've got a product to sell! Do you trust Microsoft.com to tell you about the failings of its programs? I don't, and I don't trust other commercial sites to provide objective data about the products/services they sell either. Just like you don't trust private, for-profit abortion clinics to provide objective data either.
