Just read an article about legislature passed in Alabama to adopt stringent new regulations for abortion clinics. It's being promoted as "better safety" for women but what it's REALLY trying to do is force several clinics to close when they can't meet these new regulations.

One example is that they want doctors who work at the clinic to have admitting priveleges at local hospitals. However, most of these clinics rely on doctors that fly in from out of state and given the local hostile political climate, it's highly unlikely that they would be given these privelges. Another example is that they now want abortion clinics to meet the standards for ambulatory surgical centers which would require millions of dollars in updgrades. The people behind this legislature know these clinics do not have this kind of money!

Grrr. it just makes me so mad how sneaky this whole thing is. Here's the article for anyone interested:

But women are not putting the money down.  Abortion is really about money.  The theory of economics is growth. When there are abortions then a new customer is created.  politicians need money to run and keep them in office.  Big donors and Corporations give them big money and want legislation that furthers their interests.

I understand you would prefer that things remain as they are and that abortion clinics should adopt procedures similar to that found at Gosnell's clinic?
