I mentioned before that women who do not want to have children can have hysterectomies.

>You could even use condoms as well as your back-up in case you mis-interpret your chart one month.

"NFP (Natural Family Planning)?"

My brother and I are both here because of my parents using NFP. Obviously, it didn't work so well because well here we are.

I'm here because of BC pill failure and with a mother who found out the hard way after my brother that she wasn't meant to be a mother. She debated abortion but decided, what the heck? Needless to say, she was one of the worst mothers on record. Women KNOW.

Did you use any BC during that first year, or were you relying on BFing?

For the handful of times (if that) that we had sex in the first year, I think we used condoms.

There will NEVER be a third time.

Sorry, my bad. I do know they aren't the same and should have said so in my post. I just love that quip, lol!

I still think it's not a good idea to rely solely on NFP if you REALLY don't want to get pg, as ovulation is not an exact science for many women. Sure, if you're like clockwork then you'll be fine. But if your cycle varies at all, IMO it's risky.

When we're done, you better believe DH is going to get the snip. If my last pregnancy (sometime in the next several years) ends in another c/s, I'll probably arrange to have a TL at the same time. When I'm done, I want to be done, KWIM?

As you said, TTC seemed to work great as birth control for you. ;)
