I've already e-mailed CBS through the feedback button on their site and commented that they've turned themselves into liars after turning down the UCC ad and accepting this one.

>They are anti-choice, anti-gay, anti-health reform, and against sex education curricula that are not strictly abstinence-only - as the article correctly points out.

They found a white football player to sell their message. Not surprising at all. Most of their membership would not be so eager to have a player of color endorsing their cause.<

Amen Sister mom-carmina! and we need to take them down a whole bunch of pegs too. I'm so sick these guys.

I belong to a United Church which is a United Methodist and United Church of Christ (my dh & I usually sit on UMC side LOL as I baptized in the United Methodist Church, as was all 3 of my dd's, my dad was, both of my paternal grandparents & both set of great grandparents {my dad's maternal grandfather was a Methodist Minister who was circuit riding between The Dallas OR and The Tri-Cities WA) I know that ad was on the air before. It's a good ad, not bad (as I said before I prefer the Methodist one better)

So they reject an ad from an organization that rejects discrimination, but they welcome an ad from an organization that welcomes prohibition of women's rights?

Seems bass ackwards to me.

"Don't know if it's true, but there's word on the grapevine that he was rather promiscuous in high school, and never had much of an issue with participating in under age drinking. "

This one I have a hard time believing, if you know his life story.

( This one I have a hard time believing, if you know his life story.)

Well, here are some photos of him in college:

It could be that he was just a normal, partying college jock.

If he's portraying himself as something other than that, I'd just have to wonder, after seeing these photos.

Or perhaps playing so soon after that severe concussion in Sept of '09 has affected his memory.
