"No where on the 'truth' trucks is there any attempt to bring context into the picture. All is shown is something that looks like a dismembered baby and references to abortion. But why was the fetus aborted, what was it's gestational age. Even Weight Watchers ads with big breasted blondes include the disclaimer, 'results not typical'. Where is the 'this 6 week fetus died in utero and a D&C was the safest method of removal."
I'd like to add, for the people who insist on showing aborted fetuses exclusively from the second-trimester and later, that they should show the actual percentage of "truly elective" abortions that occur at that stage.

My 2nd one was two days in hospital in hard labour - but almost no pain, except for the last hour or so.
(I thought the US had laws about that sort of thing.)
I guess not.
If you want some non horror stories talk to me!! Most woman hate me after hearing how *easy* my labors were!!
""After having a therapeutic abortion and miscarriages, I`d be an absolute mess if I found myself behind one of those trucks on the highway.""
Since my two miscarriages, I've nearly run off the road a couple of times when I've seen these demonstrations.

I love your honesty. I think living your own life takes the pressure of DS to live his own life (as he gets older) and not feel like he's the sun, moon, and stars to you (even though I'm sure you love him more than the sun, moon, and stars :) Dealing with MIL has really showed me this. Her and FIL are STILL having a hard time figuring out what to do with themselves and living their OWN lives now that DH (the youngest) has moved out and that has been over 5 years ago!!! They're starting to get upset when their grandaughter doesn't call them back immediately or have time to fill them in about EVERYTHING. B/c *Gasp* She's BUSY. She's a very active (soon to be) 12 year old and has a lot of people to see and places to go. Anyway, I think you're a very balanced person and a supercool mom :)

I was talking to my friend who has a 4 month old and she had a very easy labor. Short time pushing, no tearing, manageable pain, and very fast recovery. Also, my friends sister was in labor for a very short time and had her baby after 30 minutes of checking into the hospital! She was the first person I've ever spoken to that had a painfree delivery. Not to raise your expectations or anything (TO LIANNE) but everyone is different.
