I'm not American and didn't know anything about "Operation Rescue" and their "Truth Trucks", but I'm learning.

Oh I know everyone is different but when poor first time preggers get the horror stories I like to counteract that with my labor stories to kind of put them at ease. Yeah you should be prepared for anything to happen but going in there scared to death is not going to help anything, kwim?

Yeah, I'm glad that my sister has been there with her four mainstream, reasonably boring deliveries to counteract all the "I thought I was going to die!" stories people seem intent on sharing with me.

Thx. I have to tell you though. Sadly I have no life. All my friends have moved away except one who is moving in the fall and I don't really fit in around here. Thank god for Ivillage.

I do agree though that many parents put a lot of pressure on their kids to make them happy and I don't think that is fair

Yes, I think that's nice :) Lianne going to use your bellydancing goddess skills to deliver her baby so I'm sure she'll do beautifully.

I really have no life right now either. I'm a friendly person, but not a very social person. Since I have to spend every waking moment at work or doing homework, I don't really have time to foster a new friendship. My parents don't even call me. They know I"ll never answer so I call them on my way home from classes.

Very true. My mother had 30-40 hr labours with each of us 5 (plus the one that was stillborn). She had hemorrhages, tearing, episiotomies,

Yep, that's the plan! (Goddess - hee hee *blush*)

Did I tell you my teacher gave me her Pregnancy File to read? It's all about bellydancing in pregnancy, what to do, what not to do, etc. Plus there was this AWESOME story by Morocco (one of the Mother Goddesses of bellydance in the West :o) )
