Hi there-

1st- this is a debate board so this might not be the BEST place for you question, but I'll try to help.
2nd- the decision to continue this pregnancy is YOURS, not your parents and not your ex's.
3rd-there is support available through many avenues which I am sure some of the pro-life debaters know well. There are agencies for adoption, as well as those that are set up to help you should you decide to keep the child.
4th - Planned Parenthood is a good resource as well. They will be able to give you info on the types of abortions, cost, and recovery times. You can find them online at plannedparenthood.com

Finally-
take care of yourself. Whatever your decision, do what is best for you.

At 9 weeks your only option would be a surgical abortion.

Glad to see that you found the Abortion Support board - much better suited to your situation. Good luck paring this all down to what's really best for YOU - good for you for realizing that that's the most important thing.

Best wishes

The medication abortions can only be performed when you are 6-7 weeks along."

You know.... I think I'm confused on conflicting data IRT this issue... I was under the impression that Medication Abortions can be performed up to 8-9 weeks (obviously, however, the sooner it is done, the more likely that the medication will be successful and renders the need for vaccuum aspiration unneccessary)... However, I'm wondering if, maybe, it's 8-9 weeks conceptual age, and 6-7 weeks gestational.... Do you know if that's the case or not?

Okay, so, the clinic up there has it's own particular policies set in place to err on the side of caution... Alright, that's understandable...

I love it - and it's amazing that you can keep a sense of humor about colic - constant screaming for days on end!

No thanks! {{{shudder}}}

UGH! We did that with dd#2 and then found out she had reflux. It was amazing, we added Tagamet and she was a new baby!
