I see a whole lot of people talking very eloquently about the physical and biological aspects of abortion.

Do you have personal experience you'd like to share about this?

I completely agree with you about emotional issues and future regrets.

Feelings are definitely part of the discussion about abortion.

I think you are mistaken. Feeling/emotions are a huge part of the discussions here. That being said, not all women experience negative feelings after their abortion. I, for one, have not felt a moment of regret since I terminated 3 years ago. It was the right decision for me. Why is it assumed that women will automatically feel badly about having an abortion? Plenty of women don't.

Also, in regards to pictures of an abortion being in the media, I don't think most medical procedures are plastered all over the media. Personally, I'd be pretty upset if there were images of me giving birth to my daughter were in the media. It's just a right to personal privacy, not an indicator of how "wrong" abortion is.

Bingo. Funny, but they NEVER showed me videos of a c section either. Bet they never showed an emergent situation like yours where you almost died.

Oh, and to the OP: the only person out of those I know that aborted that has an OUNCE of regret some 25 years later is the one who did it to please her boyfriend and avoid upsetting her parents. The rest of those women who made the choice with thought and of their own volition STILL are happy with that choice. 2 remain childfree by choice and three went on to have children later in life.

Should we ban marriage because many go on to divorce?

It is an emotional decision and I don't think very many women take making it very lightly.
