I see a whole lot of people talking very eloquently about the physical and biological aspects of abortion.

Actually, the fact that you DO equate them makes the point about what your notion of "information" might be...and it sure as heck is not accurate.

Actually, they don't.

I'm slightly overweight and not once has my doctor made me look at anything of the sort. (True, that is only slightly overweight, but still...) She just says, you know you really should lose the weight and get that cholesterol down...

I would probably change my mind if I were shown a film of a breast reduction (which I am almost certain to need in later life). Does that mean it's the best choice?

Some people will want to see film, and would benefit from it. Some wouldn't. Some might be persuaded to make a bad choice based on a gory film. IMO this could slip into emotional blackmail very easily indeed.

Ok. Why is it cruel if it's medically necessary but not cruel if it's emotionally necessary? Would you say that a rape victim should watch a film of an abortion first?

Are you saying that some women have abortions without realising that the purpose of the abortion is to kill and remove the z/e/f?

Wrong. Sandy and I are both saying that we do not WANT to see what is inside of us, and nor do many other women. The choice should be available but not forced. Oh hey, look at that - we're pro-CHOICE. ;o)
