An interesting video asking PL if abortion was made illegal and what the penalty should be.
I could apply the same logic here...just because you say that drinking and driving or public intoxication are always dangerous doesn't make it so."
Well, the logic would be flawed. I didn't say that drinking and driving and/or public intoxication are always dangerous. What I am saying is that they are things that have risk of effecting other people. Unless you can supply proof that risk never exists with either of those activities... I'm the one that's right.
What if they don't they're being arrested for something that has what a ....2% chance of happening? I can understand being arrested for DWI, MUCH higher chance for imminent danger there."
That logic is beyond skewed. I mean, seriously. That would be like me trying to go and rob a 7-Eleven. I mean, I shouldn't be arrested unless my hold-up was successful. See how that sounds? Just because it may NOT happen (and probably won't), it doesn't remove the risk that it COULD. The risk still exists that others can be negatively effected, and THEIR rights impeeded

"I Ok you said it, so it's on you to prove that the MAJORITY of medically necessary abortions are done in clinics.
"Nope but if you buy certain OTC
Wow....just....wow is all I can say.
What happened to me?....I stepped into the PL Twilight zone!
I'm back to normal I promise. ;)
Oh but I looked up Menkes....and *on paper* I don't think one should be allowed to abort for it anymore then Down's but ....*shrug*
Yeah...Finding the person who kidnapped
"How is giving someone a CHOICE forcing them to do anything except make smarter reproductive CHOICES?"
It is not your duty or business, or the business or duty of anyone else, to FORCE people into making ANY choice: Stupid or otherwise. As long as ALL the choices they make are LEGAL.
"Do you support an anorexics right to kill themselves via thier eating disorder?"
Yes. I also support the right of bulemics to puke until they have no insides left. I support the right of the morbidly obese to eat themselves to death. I support the rights of EVERYONE to do whatever the heck they like with their body.
"10 was just based off personal experience honestly I think after the 1st ELECTIVE abortion something should be done to ensure there is no need for a woman to seek out a second."
Wow... So, what if a person has an elective abortion when they're... *thinks* 20. Then, they go on to be even more staunchly vigilent with their contraception choices. What if after 10 years of dang-near-perfect use... OOPS! We have a birth control failure! What then? Do we simply tell them, "Sorry... You already used your 'Get out of jail free' card, buddy!"?
I find it funny
"Somehow I don't think so and suspect more abortions are preformed on societies dime than births but if ypu'd like to prove me wrong go ahead."
You made the original assertment. YOU prove it.
"again I find this ironic from someone who a few posts back was imposing Forced Abortions on people who didn't fit what *your* standards for having children were."
I'm starting to think that you may be reading through the posts FAR too quickly, and not reading what's actually written.
In no way did I say every birth. But I DID ask how an abortion could possibly be a drain on society any more than prenatal care, delivery and 18 yrs of support.
<< That would include yours? Somehow I don't think so>>
You'd be correct ;-) But i think, from my history tat you'd know that my record was flawless in contracepting and conceiving- and planning.
No, actually, since you have made the hypothesis, it would be up to YOU to provide the numbers. Come on- you KNOW the drill, LOL.
Not all of the legally available choices. You are restricting choice and I cannot support that.
I am guessing you don't recognize sarcasm or irony very well. @@
Welcome back, LOL....
Uh no. That is the one time outside of rape I WOULD DEFINITELY abort. In fact, I had an amnio to r/u T21 w/,y last pregnancy. I've done the special needs kid, I've BEEN the special needs mom, I've watched the special needs sibs and how their lives are also very atypical- and I've seen the special needs Dad and how it affected him- and I won't EVER knowingly put my family or myself thru that - and I won't accept the burdens of a pregnancy or the risks of a c section for a fetus with ANY chromosomal anomalies. It was one of the reasons we quit having kids at age 38.
and that's your right, what I meant was, from the research I had done Menkes doesn't look any more *fatal* or *catastrophic* then Downs. I may not like that you would abort for Downs, but you're well within your rights. Same for Menkes.
Fatal would be like Anencephaly
Catastropic ...Extreme Hydrocephalus....or other conditions where you would have
