An interesting video asking PL if abortion was made illegal and what the penalty should be.
Wow, the fact that they had never thought about the fact that if abortion is illegal, there will have to be punishment boggles the mind.
Of course they are not thinking because they have been *instructed* about what to do as well as what to think by the (perceived) powers-that-be.
I'm an individual capable of deciding for myself if I feel abortion is "right" or "wrong" (in quotes because now a days it seems like a free for all on pretty much EVERYTHING, not just this topic and that nothing is right OR wrong... it just is)...
Anyway... community service in a nursery - either at a hospital or in a daycare.
How do you know if some one found the decision to have an abortion hard?
The impression I got was that they were just so into protesting and making people feel uncomfortable.
I was surprised how many said they'd never given it a thought, too. I imagine the same goes to how it would be policed/proven. Or is it OK as long as it's kept quiet and they can pretend it doesn't happen anymore?
How do you see that helping? I know for some people it will reinforce the idea that kids are NOT for them. Leading them down the abortion path again if they find themselves in a similar situation.
I'd be all for this. These women might get honest opinions form women who made a choice that was best for them. As long as they aren't forced to spout a script and can say they'd do it again if that's how they feel.
Callous? Or sensible and realize they made the right choice in *their* situation. This is why you can't legislate morality and bodily choices.
LOL ~ wonder how the parents of those children in the hospitals or day cares would feel about that. ;)
Another thing that always amuses me is how the far right opposes abortion...and then they also oppose everything these untimely children will need, like heath care, food and education. So, essentially, we are forcing you to have that baby, even if you KNOW you can't take care of it, and then we aren't going to help you take care of it. Seriously. Pick one.
(I know, I know, there is adoption and if that THEORETICALLY would be "right" for you, then it IS right for everyone else.)
