A discussion that we had on here before got me thinking this morning in the shower...weird I know, but I do some of my best work in there. :-)
In cases such as abuse, extreme poverty, maternal illness, etc. where a woman is raising a child, or possibly multiple children, and finds herself pregnant, then makes the decision to abort to do the best for her child(ren), it has been said that this is not right, in some PLers views because it is putting more importance on the child than on the fetus. Some PLers have said that the woman should continue the pregnancy so as not to choose the child over the fetus. I don't understand how this is fair. If PLers want to say "Hey! Hey! That's not fair to the fetus! The fetus is just as important as the child!!!" Why in cases where the child will suffer by the continuation of the pregnancy is the child not as important as the fetus? Why does the fetus hold more value than a child?
Hope this makes sense...it did at 530am. :-)
