So many use disease and complications for their reasoning for terminating a pregrancy - but what about the love that they loose out on in that choice?

ME <>

YOU <Medicine is not an exact science so how would you determine who should be self-pay and who should be covered by their insurance or taxpayers?>>

Again, it is my OPINION that unless it is your own money, continuing a pregnancy with a terminal fetus may be, among other things, an IMMORAL choice. I also consider adultery within a mutually agreed-upon monogamous marriage to be immoral, but I won't support legislation that make sit a crime.
Is that any clearer?

<>

It is a personal choice each parent must make- and one about which I will hold varied opinions.

<>

I've never said she should not. I only opine about some of those chocis, as is my right- but I uphold her right to dos so- just as I may not agree with personal reasons for abortions- I'll uphold the right to have one.

I just don't think either of us are in a position to judge who does and doesn't, let alone what is "simple" to them and what isn't.

Not to be aggressive - but not all SB cases are as severe as your child's - I think I explained that as well.

And there are children aborted due to cleft pallets - certainly not a terminal condition, minor retardation - again not terminal, and other non life threatening deformaties/conditions.

a) Angil, there isn't anything you need to explain to me about SB.

b) I'm not interested in discussing your ideas about those in heart breaking situations any longer.

BTW, re: the child with whom you are acquainted, I do hope that his condition remains, as you put it,

"he fact remains not all abortions due to defect or illness are done out of pitty or mercy for the child."

IMO, the real fact here is that you cannot know the heart or mind of a woman aborting for any reason, including one terminating a pregnancy for "defect or illness".

"It is right to be contented with what we have, but never with what we are."

I wish your daughter well and applaud her strength.

Again, wasn't trying to belittle your daughters situation.

I didn't think you meant any offence.
