If you think that 'no, you'd never have an abortion' is there any situation where you might change your mind? Under what circumstance would you or wouldn't you have an abortion?

I would not have an abortion for any reason including my own health. I cannot imagine a situation where I would chose too although rape/incest would be hard to say at this point because thank God I have never been in those situations. I am also not 12 and ever was the victim of rape/incest so I cannot speak to that which is why I understand why it is necessary in some cases and cannot chose for another. However, at this point the answer would be no for me under any reasonable situation.

I would (and did) have an abortion to save my own life. I would also consider abortion for sever fetal defects.

At this point in my life, I would not get an abortion just because I got pregnant when I wasn't planning to.

If I were to get pregnant at any point I would have an abortion regardless of the circumstances. I do not want any more children and I can't carry a pregnancy while taking my medication. it's not an option.

I guess I'm somewhat biased because after my DD I got very sick, there was never a chance that Mom or Baby would have a prayer of survival again. I am Pro-Choice though. I would never be "one of those" that uses this procedure as their birth control. That kinds of makes me sick. So I have to use 2 forms of effective birth control. I have Mirena & a box of condoms. Sure accidents (if you are using proper BC) happen. They happen to people like my 17-year-old mother. Even though she's devoutly Catholic, my Grandmother thought that was the best option & I'm so glad she has a place to go in 1972. & I agree with my brother's GF's decision last year. I am glad she had a safe place to go for help. She was also 17 at the time. How scary must THAT be? So, if something sneaks by I must & will have the DNC procedure. As for everyone else America should be Pro-Choice IMHO. They take your right to tell you what to do with your body? What's next?? For those that are against abortion thank God you live in a country that you can say "No thank you."

At this point in my life, yes I could see where I would have one. I have two daughters and if my life were in danger, yes I would have an abortion.

The short answer is yes, I would, if the circumstances merited it.

The longer answer is that I feel VERY lucky never to have been in the position of having an unwanted/unplanned pregnancy. It would be easy NOW to say that I would *never* abort - (being 38 years old, with 2 kids and my tubes tied!) But the truth is...if, for some unforseen I somehow DID manage to get pregnant despite my tubal....yes, I think I can say without question that at this point in my life, I would likely abort.

I can't for sure say about my past, though. I don't like to believe I would have, but as I said...I feel very lucky!

Yes I would, under any circumstances. I have to take medication for the rest of my life that is not safe for a developing fetus. I am not willing to risk my life by stopping it or trying a different one that may or may not work. I don't want any more children at all anyway. I did have my tubes tied, but in hindsight I wish I hadn't. I was not a good candidate and the recovery was very difficult. An abortion carries far less risk, and I may have never needed one anyway. I think that it's too much to expect that of a woman who doesn't want more kids or can't gestate a pregnancy safely.
