If you think that 'no, you'd never have an abortion' is there any situation where you might change your mind? Under what circumstance would you or wouldn't you have an abortion?

No I wouldn't although some claim the morning after pill is the same thing. I disagree.

A lot of people hate that I have this opinion but I would have an abortion for more than one reason.

If the guy who raped me got me pregnant.

If the great uncle who abused me got me pregnant

If the test for the genetic disease came back positive on my baby instead of negative. (not gonna say which one)

If it was going to save me, but only if the baby couldn't be saved.

I think that both scientifically and biblically there is no question that all forms of abortion, including harvesting of stem-cells and most chemical pills are murder pure and simple.

Just because we dont want it to be ok doesnt mean it is.

No. It is not murder.

The only way I would have an abortion is if having the baby would compromise my life, or if the baby had a medical condition that was incompatible with life. Even if the baby was a product of rape, i would carry it to term and deliver it. Babies are precious miracles and whether I chose to keep the baby or give it up for adoption, I would want this innocent child to live a life filled with love and happiness. I am currently collecting signatures on a petition I created for the state of virginia

There was an article in the New York Times a few weeks back about how dangerous those 20 week laws are for women who *need* abortions for medical situations.

Reading over my post again, I realized I did not clarify, and I'm sorry for that. The state of Virginia allows abortions for medical reasons all the way to the end of the pregnancy, and I completely support that law. I am pro-choice and I agree that abortion is a private decision for every woman. I believe however that an abortion for non-medical reasons shouldn't be allowed past twenty weeks because at that point, the baby starts to become a real child who has a shot at surviving. Twenty weeks should be more than enough time for a woman who simply WANTS, not NEEDS, an abortion to procure one, and they'll avoid putting a child to death who could have made it alive. My suggested legislation change would still leave legal abortions for health reasons (mother's or child's) open and available.

Thanks for the clarification and I appreciate the point you're trying to make but there is no one-law-fits-all for this type of thing that works. Every pregnancy is different and every woman has different factors to take into consideration.
