Commitment, or lack thereof...

So I just saw something somewhere else (won't specify where, but I bet a few of you will figure it out!) where a woman indicated that she WAS planning on breastfeeding, but now because of a heated debate about it, she doesn't want to anymore.
Ummmmm, are you kidding me?

thx
>>but you are denying a great part of human experience - across many cultures. I thinking denying the sexuality of breast <<
I think you're making a pretty big leap here. I have not denied the sexuality of the breast, I have denied the inherent sexuality of the breast.
>>You can not help a woman get past here modesty with NIP if you hit the refrain of "they are not sexual and we are ridicolous for doing so - no one else but us westerns do". <<
I have no idea where you got this idea - but I assure you it wasn't from me.
Congratulations!!!! Good luck with your pregnancy.
I believe that as long as you are making a choice that you are comfortable with and have been informed about all options, then go ahead with your choice. I think that the problem comes into these debates when there is someone who is either mis or uninformed, on either side of the argument.
If you need any help or have any questions about formula feeding please feel free to e-mail me through my profile!
>>I for one have never pulled anyone's hair on this board (or online at all for that matter). That'd be a neat trick though.... is it conducted via email?<<
That is just silly...of course it would be done either through im or video conference!
>>and comparing formula to vodka and a joint is so laughable bc while vodka and joint are dangerous to a child, formula is not"
Prove it. Do you have any studies that prove that ffing does not carry any risks?<<
Formula has never caused fetal alcohol syndrome or alcohol poisoning. As for the joint...really I don't know how dangerous that is for children. I am in no way advocating drug use of any kind, but really I don't know that a study of the harms of pot vs. formula has ever been conducted, as I fail to see the relevance of what that study would prove!!!
OK...bye bye straw man....commence new tangent!
If you happen to see me out in public mixing a bottle of formula, do you feel sorry for my DS (who is very close to your DS's age - 1/19/07 :))?
