So I just saw something somewhere else (won't specify where, but I bet a few of you will figure it out!) where a woman indicated that she WAS planning on breastfeeding, but now because of a heated debate about it, she doesn't want to anymore.

Ummmmm, are you kidding me?

"Why do most women who have a few drinks before they know they are pregnant go on to have healthy children?

"...but half of the posters have the other half on ignore, people are getting kicked off due to TOS now and then only to come back, I hear more insults there than a bar fight between two women. "

Oh, come on now! It's only two who are "threatening" to ignore certain others, only one or two trolls who keep coming back during school breaks, and ... well ... yes. There ARE insults!

This board must be too tame for the one regular poster who came over her ever so briefly. ;o)

"And we all know how mean drunk women can be. Or maybe that's just my experience."

Maybe we should go out for a drink and you can tell me your stories. :o)
Sounds fascinating!

Life is too short for so much pent up aggression. Maybe step away from the computer for a while??? :)

That sounds like a great idea.

I remember in the first few days with Michael, this incredible drawing feeling from about the middle of my back, over my shoulder and down into my breast. Also from my waist up. OMG, it was incredible, I was so relieved that it didn't seem to last past the first couple of weeks. Once my milk came in (day 12), I don't remember ever feeling my milk let down with my boys. I guess just a feeling of relief if I was engorged.

After though, years later when I have no baby to nurse, I have had that tingling, let-down feeling when I would hear a baby cry, etc. Weird!

As for leaking, I never did. The only time I can remember leaking was the night I gave up nursing Jason. I woke up the next morning in a puddle, and that was it, I never once got engorged with him. I assumed at the time that I didn't have any milk.

>>We took dd's crib and turned it into a toddler bed, which we then put along side our bed "side car" style. We took some straps and tied it around the base of the crib and the bed to make sure a gap wouldn't be a problem. Now that she's older she climbs in and out of her bed as she feels the need. Makes it nice, I love snuggling with her, but sometimes I love having more of the bed to myself.<<

That just solved our huge problem with our crib. Thanks....Our crib has a huge gap between the mattress and the rails and we are waiting for a replacement part. I am so doing this tonight...poor little G has been sleeping in a pack n play for over a month now. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

She was trying to help you. Not sure why you're being hostile to her.

<<Thankfully, I have read many other message threads and have spoken to various others that are more tolerant of differing opinions. That makes me happy. >>

Hmmm, probably not debate boards then. Debate is what makes debators happy. You've probably found some good support boards, and that's probably what you were looking for in the first place. Glad you found them.

I wish I could take credit for the idea, but it came from the ladies on the AP board.
