Commitment, or lack thereof...

So I just saw something somewhere else (won't specify where, but I bet a few of you will figure it out!) where a woman indicated that she WAS planning on breastfeeding, but now because of a heated debate about it, she doesn't want to anymore.
Ummmmm, are you kidding me?

How can one know what to look for if all the info one has gotten is conflicting??!!
Sure it might be, but this doesn't help them feel any better!

"FYI, I never used CIO, and since DD was sttn at 7 wks, it was not wishful thinking on my part..."
The 'wishful thinking' is in you thinking sttn at 7 weeks is normal, or that it is all 'relative'.
How about pointing out some of the POSITIVES of FFing?
Well, go right ahead! No one is keeping a person from posting any *positives* of FFing. However, why do you expect the other side to do your dirty work for you? BFing advocates will probably not list too many positives of FFing, and if FFing moms don't post any....well, what does that tell you? Maybe that there aren't too many to begin with? Or that those positives are still not outweighed by the positives of BFing?

Such as...?
Leaving breastmilk out of the equation, I'm sure there are "positives" to formula.

We're not here to "help them feel better" about their choices. We're here to debate them and present factual information in the process. There's a bottle-feeding support board where they can go to feel better about not choosing BF. As for the "positives of FF", why don't you go ahead and name them, since you brought it up and it would bolster YOUR stance in this debate? Why should we do your dirty work for you?
"No, actually what confused me was all the conflicting info.
"Nope, not me :)
