Commitment, or lack thereof...

So I just saw something somewhere else (won't specify where, but I bet a few of you will figure it out!) where a woman indicated that she WAS planning on breastfeeding, but now because of a heated debate about it, she doesn't want to anymore.

Ummmmm, are you kidding me?

I don't remember what I screamed, other than "the baby's coming!!!" and the midwife and ambulance guys yelling back, "don't push, don't push!"

All the way from the ambulance, thru the ER doors, all the way thru the ER, down the long hallways to the delivery room, where he was born 5 minutes later. I said I was never going back to that hospital, because I felt so embarrassed to have screamed all that way. LOL

LOL, I only remembered because Chris was shocked and slightly offended (in his sweet Mid-west way) that I was cussing like that in front of my mom.

I was the exact same way. I didn't give breastfeeding or diapering a second thought; but dammit, my travel system matched my swing which matched my playpen and which all matched my diaper bag down to the piping trim.

Now, I go into BRU and I'm a bit repulsed by all the "necessities" I thought I needed. When I went in there last weekend there was a woman registering with her husband and a whole entourage and she was obsessed with getting a swing to match the playpen she picked out. I just rolled my eyes, but I had to remind myself that that was *me* five years ago.

not in my legs....but with Aidan I only felt contractions as a dull ache in my tailbone area, and with Keira, the only place I felt anything was in my hips.

I also noticed that there does not seem to any break but I thought I am just overly sensitive to pain.

I was planning on making lots of noises, my husband gave me free rein to say what I wanted and not have any reprocussions so I was all ready.
