Commitment, or lack thereof...

So I just saw something somewhere else (won't specify where, but I bet a few of you will figure it out!) where a woman indicated that she WAS planning on breastfeeding, but now because of a heated debate about it, she doesn't want to anymore.
Ummmmm, are you kidding me?

"Well, my nephew would do this as a 6+ mos baby (which is when I started nannying for them) every time I set him down.

Actually, the posts here are the double-speak ;)
Yup! And I would hope that mommy would come running to rescue a child who is most obviously distressed and perhaps scared or hurt.
If we didn't need to display to our mothers (parents) that we had these fears, these problems and these needs, we would all be born mute.

Then how can you compare his method w/ that of AP?!
'Like I PPd, I cannot type out the entire article that I am referring to, but this link supports that cortisol is released in tears.
First:
"I don't care for APing myself, but I'm not going to try and read into it and attack all aspects of it.
From the GFI website, ezzoinfo.com (coincidence? I think not!) I find;
"Misconception #1: Babywise teaches schedule feedings, meaning that infant feedings are determined by strict schedules.
This is false. Hunger, not the clock, determines feedings with Babywise. Here are some examples taken directly from On Becoming Babywise.
* When the hunger cue is present, the clock is submissive to the cue, because hunger cues, not the clock, determine feedings.
* “With PDF, a mother feeds her baby when he is hungry, but takes advantage of the first few weeks to guide the baby’s hunger patterns by a basic routine” (p. 38). (A basic routine is defined as feeding a baby every two to three hours.)
* “If your baby is hungry, feed him or her. If the child routinely shows signs of hunger before the next scheduled feeding, then find out why, rather than letting the baby cry it out”(p. 145).
* “Hunger cues, not the clock, determine feedings” (p. 112).
* “Hunger is always a legitimate reason to feed in less than two hours” (p. 115).
* “Crying is a late signal of hunger” (p. 65)."
" * When the hunger cue is present, the clock is submissive to the cue, because hunger cues, not the clock, determine feedings."
"* “If your baby is hungry, feed him or her...."
"* “Hunger cues, not the clock, determine feedings” (p. 112)."
If hunger cues determine feedings, that's *cue feeding*. Just like AP!
