Commitment, or lack thereof...

So I just saw something somewhere else (won't specify where, but I bet a few of you will figure it out!) where a woman indicated that she WAS planning on breastfeeding, but now because of a heated debate about it, she doesn't want to anymore.
Ummmmm, are you kidding me?

Yes, but they learn from watching and trying to copy what we do.

"I do not see anything bad about getting baby on a routine."
Neither do the rest of us, if it's either the one the baby *naturally* falls into OR is one that *fits* the baby.
"This is all that Babywise suggests,..."
First, even though he *SAYS* routine, he means schedule. When he talks about flexibility, he means "bend, but get back into shape ASAP". Second, he doesn't *suggest* anything, he CALLS it an "infant management program".
"...I am not a bad parent for using it,..."
Darn straight you are not!!!
"Naomi is a wonderful happy baby who happened to STTN at 7 wks."
I'd say it was *in spite* of Babywise, not *because* of Babywise.
Try reading Babywise now, after reading all of our objections and see if your perception of his words has changed.
ezzo.info is the critics site listing the issues, ezzoinfo.com is the GFI site where one can read for oneself just what the Ezzos suggest for infant management.
