So I just saw something somewhere else (won't specify where, but I bet a few of you will figure it out!) where a woman indicated that she WAS planning on breastfeeding, but now because of a heated debate about it, she doesn't want to anymore.

"Aaaww, you're givin' me a big head even though I FF ;)"
Say what?!?
"No, but seriously, thank you for the compliment!"
You're welcome and it is sincerely meant, based on what I've read of your posts.
"I'm wondering why he changed the newer versions over from the 1995 one. "
Because his critics were so vocal and adamant about the inaccuracies and outright lies.
"Mine says that any less than 4-6 BFing periods during this age may decrease your milk supply."
Like this one!
"It also says: "Again, breast-feeding mothers must continually monitor their milk supply.
And this one! BFing mothers do need to notice "output", but need not be any more "vigilant" than FFing mothers!
"He seems genuinely concerned whether or not moms are able to BF."
He does, doesn't he! Too bad it's so insincere!
I'm guessing, since you were happy to be called a "young lady," that you might fit in at the "Pregnant after 35" board......and it's actually a REQUIREMENT that the over 35's on this board join in the fun on that board as well.
The CL there is AWESOME!!!!

"While I like to think I'm smarter than to buy into this ridiculous theory, I do notice alot of kids who have not been properly raised (for lack of a better word?) who are in fact all of the above."
And?
"While I agree that one must be age-appropriate w/ parenting, I do think that one can parent in advance.
"While I agree with finding ways to get mom the sleep w/o putting baby at risk, I do not agree that mom getting the interrupted sleep for a few months is harmless.

"Oh that's right - Maggie's bday, too!!
I also think you are wrong about the PPD/depression claim.
"Hey that's great!
