I am hoping some of our lurkers will come out and comment on this. Tell us what the people around you have said or done that made you feel bad for choosing formula (or resorting to formula because your first choice did not work.)

As more and more moms are initiating BFing, at least in the hospital, I think there are more stories coming from the FFing moms. Here's your chance to share your side of the story!

No one has specifically said anything to me that is a direct attack on me considering formula feeding.

My point has nothing to do with what has been "seen on this board" or do i take issue with you ...i said i think it is silly. the fact is when a poster brings

I'm not implying that everyone ACTUALLY thinks FF is downright wrong or poison for baby.

Just as you were asking her a clear, assumption-free question about whether she thinks "the ff mother is wrong," she was asking the OP if the examples she gave were from this board or real life. And it turns out they were here on this board. And that, I believe (Thistle will have to tell me if I'm off base), is her point. "On This Board" you ARE going to find more powerful language about the choice. Out in the real world, encounters with people who proclaim formula to be inferior are, from what I've seen and heard, rare. And they should be rare. Kooks exist in all arenas, but thankfully they are the minority. :-)

Her question was specific and directed to Jess. How does that clarify a point of yours when you weren't even part of the conversation then? Do you claim to know what Jess experienced when she said "It feels like everyone thinks it is wrong and that you are poisoning your baby..."? Because I certainly don't. And I don't think she is wrong; feelings aren't wrong, they're feelings. I doubt Thistlemchays thinks she is wrong either. I think she just wanted to know where Jess was getting the vibe from; if it was specific to (here it comes, lol) this board or if it was a general attitude. And their conversation is continuing today, and I'm learning more about what she has experienced due to the questions being asked of her.
