Do most FFing parents know powdered infant formulas are not commercially sterile products? How much of a risk is a E. sakazakii infection? Is it only a risk to premature and low-weight babies? According to the WHO article below, "infants under 2 months of age are at greatest risk."

Sorry you feel that way. I don't happen to feel the same way, but that's what makes the world go 'round, eh?

"Yep, and we can pull out the dictionary and prove you are exactly right in your use of the term. Great. But you didn't call a duck a duck, because a duck wouldn't mind being called a duck. I wouldn't mind being called a poster or a mom or a woman. I *would* mind being called rather egocentric. Your post was *great* and maybe she'll be able to read past that line herself. Maybe we'll come across a topic you are not familiar with and you believe your experience to be correct and I can call you rather egocentric, I'll know for later that you won't mind or consider it a negative thing."

"I am sometimes able to do the former but I don't argue one side then turn around and argue against myself, my beliefs and opinions are not "wishy washy"."

What *I* see, harmony, is a *strong* insistence on accuracy.

Sometimes that insistence looks like an argument "for the other side", but really it isn't. It's pointing out inadequacies you see in the arguments put forth.

Just FYI...continuing to discuss a member who was banned is considered a disruption and could result in your post being deleted. You may want to edit. No, I didn't RAV it.

>>I think it bears mentioning that being able to see and understand both sides of a debate is not the same as arguing both sides in a debate. I am sometimes able to do the former but I don't argue one side then turn around and argue against myself, my beliefs and opinions are not "wishy washy".<<

I'll buy that. But I'll add that If anyone is ever confused or thinks I am arguing both sides of one topic - I'd be happy to clarify my position and POV any time. All they ever have to do is ask :) Vague statements that declare I'm wishy washy but don't refer to a specific topic or ask a direct question, just leave me wondering what the poster is talking about and where it came from.

Surprise, surprise...Harmony is "on a roll" because she is defending someone who was making herself the very definition of a perfectly normal behavioral science term, after stating that she was trying to avoid a tangent that she in effect created by pulling out one word and labeling it derogatory.

I'm gonna say it onnnne more time for all those boys and girls out there: "egocentric" is NOT a derogatory term.
