Do most FFing parents know powdered infant formulas are not commercially sterile products? How much of a risk is a E. sakazakii infection? Is it only a risk to premature and low-weight babies? According to the WHO article below, "infants under 2 months of age are at greatest risk."

"Just because a comment is against breastfeeding does not make it "hateful" or "inflammatory".

True.

If that was the case then almost every post from a breastfeeder would be considered "hateful" or "inflammatory" because it is against formula feeding.

Not every post from a breastfeeder is "against formula feeding"

I mean, why does it matter if someone is against breastfeeding? Who is it hurting? Who is it insulting? No one.

Well, actually, if someone is "against breastfeeding", then it could actually be hurting lots of people.

"Nobody should be judged harshly. Not just formula feeders.

Advocating breastfeeding though is not judging formula feeders. Offering someone breastfeeding advice is not judging formula feeders. Debating the substance, the method, the challenges, the barriers - is not judging formula feeders."

Bears repeating, with specific focus.

***If they are being turned ay because they are Ening, that is discrimination.***

In my salon, if someone was En-ing, they would not be turned away. They would , however, be asked to reschedule if they wanted to EN in my chair or expect to EN AND expect me to wait for them because the other clients would NOT lump it like thistle expects of people to do for her.

I heard a cute little anecdote about bullying today.

My cousin is almost 6 and in her first year of school. She was getting teased because she has healthy packed lunches (quiche and salad, humus and dippy things, etc). Her mum asked her what she wanted to do about it and she said "I'm not going to change what I have for lunch because I like that stuff!" This is the right attitude to have exactly! Nobody should change who they are to avoid bullies. Children can be given the confidence to be who they are even in the face of being teased.

Whaaaaaattttttt?? , Gee, whadya think? Are they going to the washroom for mere minutes or are they gonna sit there for the next half hour? In which case The next client would be informed that I am now late and THEY would have to decide if they wanna stay or not and the day is now thrown off. But sheesh, i've never HAD anyone sit in there for more than mere minutes(?). I also run to answer phones and deal with the front desk too during cuts etc. Our sced allows for this in a half hour to 45 min cut/set.

Silliness.

Older nurslings often just nurse for a few minutes to reconnect.

I could definitely see someone who, for instance, is having a little overaction in the irritable bowel department taking longer in the ladies' room than my DD would take getting a little snack.

So if you're not going to tell the woman w/ bowel trouble that she's going to have to reschedule when she's halfway through her foiling and has to "go," then why is it such an issue if an XBFer needs a couple minutes to nurse?
