Do most FFing parents know powdered infant formulas are not commercially sterile products? How much of a risk is a E. sakazakii infection? Is it only a risk to premature and low-weight babies? According to the WHO article below, "infants under 2 months of age are at greatest risk."

I still stand by what I say that Teddy should not have been banned for using her native tongue to describe a gross scenerio, no matter WHO raved her, it was made to look like she was derogatory and she was faaaaar from it.
Since those posts stand, the Mods agree with you and that is not why she was banned.
"And where is the debate when we all know breast is best?"
We all "know" that "breast is best" but apparently many do NOT know that NOT breastfeeding has health risks.
Breast is "best" as in, extra, top 'o the line, better than normal instead of just breastmilk/breastfeeding IS *normal* and anything else has increased health risks.
THAT is *one* debate.

Unfortunately, it isn't true. Hopefully you'll peruse the link I provided further into the thread that the post you're replying to.

I see that your points have already been addressed by others, so I won't bother writing more about the vitamin D topic.
I owe you a coke.

I'm sorry that's all you (and your friends) see here, but if it's the case, it shouldn't be hard to link to some threads where that was the sole focus. Thanks in advance for doing so.

"I tend to try not to use "always" or "never" whenever possible because when one uses absolutes such as those, it never seems to be right and always seems to be wrong."
Was this meant as a joke? 'cause if it was, I like it!!

No, it doesn't matter what anyone "twists" your words into when you get a post deleted. The moderators receive the RAV made on your post, and then they decide whether the post should be pulled or not. They look SOLELY at the words you have written. It has nothing AT ALL to do with what other people see in your post. If you're concerned that the moderators are "misreading, mincing and twisting" your posts, then you'll have to take it up with them, since they're the ones making the judgment call about whether something truly is a TOS violation, and whether it should be pulled.

Again, you'll have to take up these grievances with the mods. Nobody here is responsible for getting a post pulled. People may RAV posts, but the mods only take that as a suggestion. The mods actually encourage people to RAV questionable posts, and as a longtime iVillage member and a Community Leader, it's actually my duty to help keep the boards running smoothly; the RAV button is the best way to do that, because it alerts moderators to possible issues on the board and allows them to make the final judgment about what should be pulled, who should be issued warnings, etc. But it truly has nothing at all to do with your words being "minced" by anybody. The RAV'd post is read by the mods exactly as you've written it when they receive the incoming RAV.
Out of curiosity, you've said you used to be a Community Leader yourself; I would have thought you were more familiar with the way the RAV system works.
