Do most FFing parents know powdered infant formulas are not commercially sterile products? How much of a risk is a E. sakazakii infection? Is it only a risk to premature and low-weight babies? According to the WHO article below, "infants under 2 months of age are at greatest risk."

Right on. I had to give Liam daily iron supplements from about 12 months til 16 months because he was very anemic. I mean, hemoglobin reading of 7, IIRC, and hematocrit in the mid-20's, I think. His ped at the time was actually concerned he might have thalassemia, because his numbers were so bad. I wouldn't wish iron supplements on any family, I'll just say that. I was very relieved when Elise's 9-month hemoglobin test came back within normal range.

I have to agree with this - all the parents on my old street would brag about how their schools were zero tolerance, how they talked to their children

Hockey, did you notice that I have a little ticker that tells me when hockey starts again? I cannot wait. We have a vanity plate for the Ottawa Senators, our family team but I will follow other teams. My DH no but hockey is hockey to me.

So, if you still follow it, let me know. I am always looking for some good hockey fans! ;)

As for gore, yeah, I can expect it, anticipate it and still hide when things jump out at people. I also do not like seeing anyone get hurt, even the "bad" guys...:S I am an old softie...

Another Harry Potter fan...I think we should talk...LOL!
