Formula risks...I believe

  • Formula has risks that are unacceptable if breastmilk is available
  • Formula has risks but it's OK to choose it if you understand the risks
  • Formula has risks but it's OK to choose it even if you DONT understand the risks
  • Formula has some risks but they are overblown
  • Formula has risks but so does breastmilk, and the risks are about the same
  • Formula doesn't have any risks
  • Other, please explain

Oh, you'll get a reply. Something along the lines of..."I done TOLD you over and over and over that I went to an ivy league college and I all I need to do is use my x-ray eyes to look at those around me and conclude that they are all perfectly healthy and fed formula and my kids were each breastfed for a year and they inherited my DH's allergies so obviously that means that formula is as good as breastmilk. Oh, did I mention I went to an ivy league school??? Now I have to leave this board because I just can't stand talking to people who aren't impressed with my pedigree."

I did, thanks. I chose the road less travelled, though. *grin*

I started my breastfeeding journey at a time when the AAP said, breastmilk will fight off your husband's seasonal allergies and your children won't get them.

Wow, this statement takes the cake!

A question that is not nearly as relevant as what dimension it was started in...

Oh, sorry you have nothing of merit to debate.

Guess what? You COULD have safely had a moderate amount of alcohol and coffee, you could have taken most medications safely, and you could have eaten the occasional fast food meal...all without any negative effects on your BM!

Out of curiosity, why DID you BF your kids in the first place? What, other than outlandish statements you supposedly heard from the AAP, possessed you to BF your kids at all? You say that if you had to do it again, you'd FF them. Why didn't you FF them in reality?
