Formula risks...I believe

  • Formula has risks that are unacceptable if breastmilk is available
  • Formula has risks but it's OK to choose it if you understand the risks
  • Formula has risks but it's OK to choose it even if you DONT understand the risks
  • Formula has some risks but they are overblown
  • Formula has risks but so does breastmilk, and the risks are about the same
  • Formula doesn't have any risks
  • Other, please explain

But this is getting kind of tedious for me and I just haven't seen anyone counter my arguments

Your "arguments" are more along the lines of "opinions"

<<<"Risk? Not wearing a seat belt while driving. That's one. "

I was in an accident a few years ago and was not wearing a seat belt. Walked away from a 70 mph wreck unscathed. Got more scratches crawling out of the bushes than from the accident itself.

In Feb '06 Me and dh were in a motorcycle accident. T-boned by a hit and run driver. Neither one of us were wearing a helmet. He walked away unscathed, I sustained a broken ankle and a laceration to my arm - no head injuries.

Does that prove that not wearing your seat belt and not wearing a helmet is largely safe? Outcome based results and all...>>>

Hey, can I add my anecdote too? My uncle was hit by a train in the '80's, he wasn't wearing a seat belt either. He was thrown from the car and dragged by the train for a few hundred feet yet he still lived. Sure, he may not have been thrown from the car if he had had his seat belt on but hey, he lived....doesn't that meet the definition of "just fine"? Oh, and he was also in at least 2 motorcycle accidents with no helmet and survived both of them. In fact he's still alive and kicking today. So do two anecdotes prove that not wearing a seatbelt or helmet is safe?

She went to an Ivy League school!!! Why can't you people understand that and be appropriately humbled???

Jeez...stop making her come up with facts to back up her assertions.

Maybe, but they do have the advantage of being formed in a brain that went to an Ivy league school.

Her Ivy League opinions trump all facts. D'uh!
