Formula risks...I believe
- Formula has risks that are unacceptable if breastmilk is available
- Formula has risks but it's OK to choose it if you understand the risks
- Formula has risks but it's OK to choose it even if you DONT understand the risks
- Formula has some risks but they are overblown
- Formula has risks but so does breastmilk, and the risks are about the same
- Formula doesn't have any risks
- Other, please explain

Yep, the man has more lives than a cat. Should make for some interesting questions when the kids are old enough to realize mom's uncle has a peg leg.

I really have been trying to get an answer to a question that is at the heart of the original poll. As a medical professional, I thought maybe you can shed some light...
Are there documented "risks" with breastfeeding?
Are there documented "benefits" with formula feeding?
What I am trying to accomplish is to find out if this information exists and use it to further the debate without continuing a discussion about Ivy League schools and talks of "show me the risks" that keeps going round and round! ;)
BTW~I may not have worded my questions eloquently, but I hope that you get the gist...

Yah, thinking about what the rest of us are thinking isn't really working for you here.
The risks associated w/ BFing would be less due to the BFing than due to other circumstances.

Oh yeah, those two. They didn't stay on my radar screen for very long since they didn't appear to be actual studies.
