I chose to formula feed my daughter. I love her with all my heart, and am a great mother (contray to what other mothers will say because I didn't BF). I gave my daughter the best 9 months of my life when pregnant...eating healthy, excerising, quit smoking, quit drinking, yada yada yada and I give her everything in this world now but yes I was selfish and formula fed and do not regret one second of it. I'm sorry that my husband, mother, sister can help with feedings and make a bottle themselves... I can go out for a night and not worry about having a glass of wine or I can go to the mall and not have to whip my boob out in the middle of the common area. And my daughter is extemely healthy and happy. I don't think Im going to hell because I formula feed nor do I feel I am a bad parent. My husband and I agreed formula was the way to go for us. I'm sure there are plenty of things BF'ing mothers do that other parents wouldn't agree with but that doesnt mean you should be crucified for it. I think other mothers should get off their high horse about bf'ing and realize its just not for everyone and you're not

Yeah my fall was caused by a little kid who ran smack into my back too, knocking me off balance. Luckily for them they were quickly out of the way before I fell as I probably would have been pretty heavy on them.
I was never a *wonderful* skater, though I did enjoy doing it when I was like 10-12 yrs old, but it was my first time in skates in probably close to 10 years. ;-)

Your taking things out of context and turning them around.

"First off I never said anything about how it made me feel.
but it was my first time in skates in probably close to 10 years. ;-)
And you chose to do this when you are 34 weeks pregnant.
"If there are such wonderful benefits shouldn't it be easy to prove?"
Formula companies are continually trying to prove the benefits to using their products.
Without much success, 'cause it's not so *easy* to prove something that just isn't true.
I hear you on the wording. What I find however, is that the type of wording that makes one person "wake up and smell the coffee" will put another person off, and the type of wording that might work for *that* 2nd person may well be too wishy-washy and not strong enough for the first person. I probably would have weaned pretty easily and spent my life thinking that BF was pretty equal to FFing if all I ever heard was "BF is best but FF is ok if you can't/won't BF". When I heard it in terms of *risk* of not BFing it really sank home to me. :-)

And while you see it as a minor decision, every medical authority world wide takes it a a major one.
Yes and even the opinions of medical doctors have changed since I had my first child.
