I Formula Feed

I chose to formula feed my daughter. I love her with all my heart, and am a great mother (contray to what other mothers will say because I didn't BF). I gave my daughter the best 9 months of my life when pregnant...eating healthy, excerising, quit smoking, quit drinking, yada yada yada and I give her everything in this world now but yes I was selfish and formula fed and do not regret one second of it. I'm sorry that my husband, mother, sister can help with feedings and make a bottle themselves... I can go out for a night and not worry about having a glass of wine or I can go to the mall and not have to whip my boob out in the middle of the common area. And my daughter is extemely healthy and happy. I don't think Im going to hell because I formula feed nor do I feel I am a bad parent. My husband and I agreed formula was the way to go for us. I'm sure there are plenty of things BF'ing mothers do that other parents wouldn't agree with but that doesnt mean you should be crucified for it. I think other mothers should get off their high horse about bf'ing and realize its just not for everyone and you're not

"The function of a debate is to try and get the other party to at least acknowledge that you have a viable point
"Nope not bitter, I just find it amusing when people insist that breastfeeding makes one so much healthier, or more intelligent and all they continue to say is that it is healthier, or in my case I keep reading how much healthier I am that I was breastfed.
Holy Cow! I just wasted 3 hours reading through this thread, pant pant, have no energy left for words at all......

***I was under the impression that breastfeeding tends to reduce the likelyhood and severity of things like ear infections but I am always open to new information***
***The point is simply that you would likely be *even worse off* had you not been bf.
That's the funny thing about the IQ test. It's intended to measure your knowledge compared to others your age. This means that it's much more accurate when measuring children because we can set a kind of standard of what we expect, say, a 10-year-old American child to know. After 18 it becomes too difficult to really measure, because some of us go to college in a variety of fields and some people don't go at all. I might have a much higher IQ than others in history because I have a degree in history, but know less than others in physics, for example.
On top of that, IQ changes. I had an IQ of 160 in Kindergarten but I'm sure it was lower as I got older not because I quit learning, but because the average person caught up with me. I mean, I read at a 9th-grade level in Kindergarten but I couldn't read at an 18th-grade level in 9th grade because there is no 18th grade.

"If you don't have any evidence to share with us, and you're not interested in our evidence.....why choose a debate board?"
I guess because some people just have to have a place to rant, and the mods won't allow it on support boards.
