I'm sorry, I just don't get it.

Maybe I'm having a bad day, but I really just don't get the, "Happy Mommy=Happy Baby" mentality when someone throws it out there in defense of formula feeding. Where exactly can I get one of these babies who is automatically happy because I am? Can I trade mine in for that model? LOL (just kidding, of course). I am just really tired of reading that and hearing that.
Sorry, just had to vent. I was feeling left out of the monster threads :)

The "get up now damnit" types do concern me, IRL. I know a few women who are like that, including a couple of family members. It's not in my personality to order anyone around (hmmm...maybe a reason why my toddler runs roughshod over me; nah, I prefer to call him "spirited", LOL). I have seen firsthand the tension in a household where one spouse is always commanding the order to do things, and I'm glad we don't live that way.
Bella's the exact opposite with TV.

I'm perfectly capable of it, I just choose not to attempt to dictate to my partner.

he was unemployed and more intereseted in playing WoW til 2am then actively finding work. Yeah..."get up NOW Damnit!"
Were we married to the same man at one point?
Haha, yeah the pressure is a bit exhausting. I'm the only one of six kids whose even in college and possibly the only one who will hold a degree. It's not erally anyone else pressuring me, but I was always the "smart" kid and the driven one, so announcing my pregnancy was terrifying because I saw all that go out the window. My family has been encouraging though. I thinkt hey're still pulling for me. I hope!
BTW, I always wondered - why did you go the nursing route?

I do keep it on because I like the background noise and get creeped out being home alone with her at night.
Yeah, silence kills me.
Sorry I didn't read ahead Jennifer! I am guilty of making that a habit.
Luckily for me, Josie goes back to sleep with rocking/singing most of the time, so it does make it easier to pass her off if I need to or want to.

My mom chased away four (yes 4) husbands with that kind of attitude. It was always her way or the highway, and eventually each and every man found his way back to the highway. I decided long ago if I had to fight and nag and push and bully a man to get what I wanted, it was either the wrong man, or I didn't really know what I truly wanted. KWIM?>>>
