Recently (May) there was a recall on Tylenol, Motrin, Benadryll, & Zyrtec.

From what I can tell reading the recall they are not banned. The company voluntarily recalled the product and agreed to make some changes to the manufacturing process. The website still lists lots of US stores you can buy them.

Who do you think is going to shut down informal milk sharing?

As I understand it the tablets are not banned per se. From what I understand they simply ask for a voluntary recall which Hylands agreed too. Critic of the FDA's actions are calling it a ban but the FDA does not have the authority to simply ban a herbal supplement like that. They are required in the case of herbal supplements to prove they are inherently dangerous before they can ban them unlike drugs where the onus is on the manufacturer to prove their safe. since the FDA admits they have never tested them for safety or efficacy them they cannot simply ban them willy nilly. The main concern with the tablets seems to be that overdosing on them could cause health issues for the baby based on some anecdotal reports the FDA received somethings Hylands supporters admit is might be true but not something they believe justifies a recall, especially given the unverified nature of these reports and that most pediatric drugs also can overdosed on too.

It is considered an "attack" to the degree that people are fearing it will mean laws that prohibit the web being used as a resource to find donors.

Is this a spinoff of the breastmilk sharing thread?
