Why is breast-feeding used to sell cookies?

I think the photo is beautiful too. I just don't understand why some BF Advocates seem to think it sexualizes BF'ing or presents some other negative image of BF'ing. Personally I see no reason why it's any more wrong to associate BM with oreas then cows milk. I can understand why those who find the sight of BF'ing disturbing would object to this ad even though I strongly disagree they should feel that way. There mere fact that baby is holding an Oreo cookie does not change the picture to something inappropriate and I don't view the photo as an inappropriate type of BF photo as I don't see any type of photo of a baby being BF'd as fine regardless of how much breast is showing. I think this is really a case of both sides making a big deal out of nothing. Fortunately I have seen a few BF advocates realize that this could be seen as a positive thing or at least neutral. If the BF advocate critics had taken such a picture of their own child holding a cookie and BF'ing I think they would be defending such a picture. Of course the other side would still criticize it just because it shows too much breast in their opinion.

I'm just glad the baby isn't trying to eat the Oreo while nursing. That hurts (BTDT)!

I think it's a cute ad. :)
